Some Pizazz for the Wizard

After a meeting to choose a project name for our brochure we ended up with two contenders; Cardobot and CardWizard. We sat on the names for a week, in case we suddenly came up with anything else. No other names came. The compromise was then to use Cardobot as the name but make references to wizards in our slogan.

Originally, the logo was going to make use of different colors to underline the word 'robot' in the name (whiteboard picture). However, after some doodling in my logbook to procrastinate CAD fixes, the symmetry of the 'd o b' in the name gave me an idea. The result was the little bot Marfin. The font and colors were further developed in Powerpoint. The name comes from the initials of each teammate: (M)isha, (A)manda, (R)obbie, and (F)aye. Amanda, however, insists on calling it 'Bot-bot'!

To further underline the wizard theme, Marfin was given a wizard hat. If you come to the symposium on March 15th you might see us wearing wizard hats! But that's only if we're feeling really exciting.

Below we have some iterations of the logo, as well as rough drafts and notes!
